Last week, my wife and I were lucky to relax for a week on holiday in the Amalfi Coast, Rome, and Milan. I wish that we could have had a whole month there. It was a sun-filled trip that I’ll never forget. Slowly getting back into the work mode, feeling fully recharged, below are a few things from the trip that stood out.
Must go to the Amalfi coast having been to many other Italian towns and villages. Having to make do with de Carlo olive Oil at home in the sun. Thank you Tom Mueller for Extra Virginity
Hope you can make it there! Every village has its own special scenery - from the hilltop town of Ravello to iconic Positano with its narrow steep streets and beachfront
Great lessons! I always learn so much from traveling to different countries. I visited the islands of Greece in October and learned so much about how the small island villages operate. I went to a local hotel for a cooking class and ended up staying the entire day and night. The hotel owner invited the local wine producer, her brother, and anyone who drive by the hotel for a dinner eating the food we had cooked. It just shows how important community is and the importance of each person in a village being specialized in a skill and then sharing it with one another. One of my favorite trips of all time! (that also led to my favorite article "Eating Beyond Local in Greece").
Thanks Madison & Sebastian, your experience in Greece sounds like one of the best experiences of connecting with the community and seeing firsthand everyone contributing towards something bigger than themselves.
